K.A.B. FOUNDATION
For the next few years beginning in 2017, we have decided to turn our focus on EDUCATION. K.A.B. Foundation has joined hands with The MIRACLE FOUNDATION, headquartered in Austin, TX to support higher education for ORPHANED children in India. The remaining funds will go to other select charities listed on our website, http://www.wiselygiving.org
K.A.B.F. SCHOLARSHIP FUND
THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS FUND IS TO SUPPORT HIGHER EDUCATION FOR THE ORPHANED CHILDREN OF THE MIRACLE FOUNDATION WITH A CAREER ORIENTATION.
The Fund grants merit scholarships to select children for pursuing educational courses in engineering, nursing, teaching, information technology, motor mechanics, social work, laboratory technology, computer programming, literature, hospitality, etc.
Criteria for Selection:
High Scores in the 12th grade
Passion for the career, the student wants to follow
Recommendations from teachers and counselors
Keeping up high scores during the Scholarship years
Non-academic interests or extracurricular activities
House mothers & Counselor’s statement on character, study habits, and enthusiasm.
All the children we are financing for Higher Education come from CORNERSTONE ORPHANAGE in Tamil Nadu, India. Six local high school teachers are hired who come every evening to coach the students in English, Mathematics & Science. Also all 82 children are trained in computer literacy. Fifteen of the older girls & boys have completed the computer certificate course. We are educating the following students with our financial support. THE MIRACLE FOUNDATION
The Miracle Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps to transform the lives of the world’s orphaned children.
Caroline Bordeaux is the founder of The Miracle Foundation which now has 50 Orphanages and over 3700 children. Caroline is a charismatic woman with great passion and is dedicated to bringing each child to his or her full potential. She conforms to the 12 Rights of Every Child in bringing up these orphans, semi-orphans and destitute children. The ultimate goal of The Miracle Foundation is to find a loving family for every orphaned child. They explore every avenue to reunite children with a parent or relative. In fact, they have reunited about 25% of children with families. They allocate resources to facilitate alternate care options including adoption and ensuring excellent family support services. While a child is in transition to a family, they guarantee quality education, safe loving environment, and personalized care.
